Lexington, Ky. (June 23, 2025) —Registration is now open for the August 2025 CCTS Clinical Research Coordinator 101 course, which will be held in-person from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in Healthy Kentucky Research Building (HKRB) Room 150. 

This interactive, in-person training is offered four times per year. There is no cost to participate.

May 20 is International Clinical Trials Day.

An undergraduate who is completing her degree in just three years, her research focuses on finding treatments for heart failure.

The annual event is a pillar of the CCTS’s mission to accelerate discovers that improve health.

The unique program provides intensive behavioral and population health science training to undergraduates, equipping them to conceptualize, plan, execute, and analyze their own research study.

An investigational procedure called DBS-Plus is aimed at stopping or reversing the degenerative effects of the disease.
